Basically, lighting affects us all the time. It is very evocative of memories and of how you feel about yourself and how you feel about the environment. To how affects you physiologically basically. I feel like lighting is very much driving how people feel.

Communication is basically important throughout the project from beginning to end, what is different though is the purpose of the conversations.
Sustainability is the golden rule now basically with lighting design that you have to think about it and you have to be responsible and you have to make sure you integrate that in your design.

The project continues on and then it becomes more about the details and later on the project it is about making sure that the lighting works cohesively with all the other elements architecturally.
In the beginning, you basically want to understand from the client the kind of mood or feeling they want to create with the light design, what is their purpose, what is the intent of how the space should feel.

I think a lot of time with lighting design people think if it is a good lighting design you don’t notice it. But I feel like what would be fantastic is that you go in a space and you say that this light design is amazing.

What is really great about Flos is that beside its fixture esthetically looking perfect almost for any type of design style, it is that they are performing and especially with an architectural series that have the luminal output that is required to just create the basic functional lighting that is required in the space.
