For Milan Design Week 2025 and the 32nd edition of the Euroluce biennial, Flos presented seven new collections in an exhibition designed to spotlight both the products and the creative processes behind them.

The Light of the Mind

Created by Formafantasma, The Light of the Mind transforms the Flos stand into a subjective meditative space. The stand revolves around a series of seven videos that explore the creative processes behind the new Flos collections. The installation presents these narratives non-linearly, encouraging visitors to reflect on the associative nature of thought and design development.

Luce Sferica and Luce Cilindrica

by Ronan Bouroullec

Luce Sferica and Luce Cilindrica pair industrial innovation with the poetry of the everyday. Blown-glass spheres or cylinders rest on a refined aluminium body, diffusing soft, atmospheric light. Modular and sculptural, they evoke raindrops or lanterns hanging in mid-air, perfect for creating elegant compositions across residential, hospitality or cultural settings.

Seki-Han

by Tobia Scarpa

This 1963 classic returns with renewed grace. Seki-Han features twin rotating wooden blades that conceal a central LED source, offering variable light and poetic presence. Borrowing its name from Japanese symbolism, the re-edition combines craftsmanship with advanced engineering, transforming wood and light into a living sculpture.

Maap

by Erwan Bouroullec

Maap unites multiple fundamental concepts in a lamp that is both radically simple and inherently complex. With a distinctive graphic pattern and magnetic mounting system, Maap gives free rein to human creativity, transforming the wall into a luminous canvas. Shaped by hand, its unpredictable surface diffuses a soft, immersive glow, like sunlight filtered through a cloud.

Linked

by Michael Anastassiades

Linked transforms light into a vertical chain of glowing glass links. Effortlessly modular, it allows infinite combinations that descend like ethereal jewellery from above. A luminous sphere can be hung at the end, delivering sculptural elegance and an immersive atmosphere to both residential and architectural environments.

Nocturne

by Konstantin Grcic

Nocturne redefines modular lighting with precision and elegance. Conical or semi-spherical glass diffusers offer directional and ambient light respectively, glowing ethereally from within. Mounted on aluminium tracks, this system brings sculptural sophistication to residential and contract spaces, pairing high-performance optics with timeless material beauty.

Jam Session

by Piero Lissoni

An original reinterpretation of the torch, Jam Session blends rigorous aesthetics with a touch of irony. Drawing on multiple archetypal references, the concrete base supports one to three luminous stems, each crowned by a glass sphere or a flute-shaped diffuser. Elegant yet versatile, it was conceived as a ‘super-candle’ with a gentle glow ideal for refined interiors.

A modular lighting system that merges architectural precision with quiet elegance. Seamlessly integrating into any space, The Glowing Track delivers warm, atmospheric illumination. With refined finishes and versatile modules, it elevates interiors with a perfect blend of aesthetic and technical functionality.

SuperWire by Formafantasma

The installation at the Corso Monforte showroom is entirely dedicated to SuperWire by Formafantasma. The designers worked in harmony with the architecture of the showroom and its external portico, creating a seamless dialogue between interior and exterior. Portals within reveal either key components of SuperWire or excerpts from The Light of the Mind video.

The Flagship Store

The historic window of the flagship store in Milan spotlights two exceptional new editions by Tobia Scarpa, a figure central to Flos history since its founding and a prolific designer of many iconic lamps from the 1960s until the late 1990s.

In close collaboration with Scarpa and with the utmost respect for his original designs, Flos presents Biagio Onyx Edition, a limited run of the celebrated 1968 marble table lamp, crafted from honey-hued onyx; and a contemporary re-edition of the striking Seki-Han floor lamp, now updated with a new tubular light source. Stills from Tobia Scarpa’s The Light of the Mind video adorn the walls, offering evocative glimpses into the creative world of an iconic Flos designer.
