Design Achille Castiglioni & Pio Manzù

“Pio Manzù è all'origine della creazione di Parentesi. Pensò di combinare un’asta verticale fissa e una scatola cilindrica con una fessura per la luce, che andava su e giù: per arrestarla, occorreva una vite. Sostituendo l’asta con un cavo metallico, una volta piegato, ho creato attrito e permesso alla lampada di mantenere la sua posizione senza più il bisogno dell’ausilio della vite.” Achille Castiglioni.
