Flos supports Convivio
Once again, Flos is supporting Convivio, the most important Italian charity exhibition-market aimed at raising funds for ANLAIDS (the Italian National Association for the Fight Against AIDS). For its 14th edition, from 6 to 10 June, the event is moving to the heart of the city of Milan at The Mall Big Spaces, in the lively Porta Nuova district. A key event to continue to support research and raise public awareness of the increasingly worrying data concerning the spread of this disease.
Much more than just a charity event, Convivio represents a long journey of solidarity that started out in 1992 thanks to an idea from Gianni Versace, together with Gianfranco Ferré, Giorgio Armani and Valentino, always supported by Franca Sozzani and today by Emanuele Farneti with Vogue Italia. A full-immersion charitable shopping experience in which the most prestigious fashion, design, accessories, jewellery, perfume, tourism and high-end food and wine brands choose to join in by donating their products, which are then offered to the public at favourable prices.
For Convivio, Flos has chosen some iconic models from its Home Collection. From the legendary Gatto, Toio and Lampadina by Achille Castiglioni, to the recent Bon Jour Unplugged by Philippe Starck, a brilliant, eclectic table lamp with rechargeable battery, to the sophisticated Captain Flint marble and brass floor lamp by Michael Anastassiades. Also by Starck, selected exclusively for the Convivio public, the two extraordinary Bon Jour Versailles table models, the result of a collaboration between Flos, Starck and Baccarat: timeless lines that conjure up the memory of the past with a present and future twist.
