Flos at Paris Design Week 2019
On the occasion of Paris Design Week 2019, Flos France and Flos Projets, the two French companies belonging to the Flos Group, presented the latest iconic designs of the Flos Home, Architectural and Outdoor collections in their beautiful Parisian spaces.
The brand’s flagship store, at 15 rue de Bourgogne, was renovated for the occasion in order to highlight Noctambule, the ethereal collection of lights designed by Konstantin Grcic, and the impressive mirroring lights La Plus Belle, created by Philippe Starck. Additionally, the store showcased Gaku and Sawaru, the poetical and minimal designs marking the start of a collaboration between Flos and Japanese studio Nendo. The exclusive first edition of Bulbo, a 1957 design by Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni, was also debuted here for the first time to the French public, after having been previewed at Salone del Mobile earlier this year.
The stunning showroom of Flos Projets at 20-22 passage Dauphine highlighted the newest and most innovative architectural fixtures and systems, both for indoor and outdoor use, while also presenting a selection of decorative icons in an all-encompassing installation. Professional novelties included the innovative track Diversion and the refined spotlight Atom by Piero Lissoni, the miniaturized system Zero Track by Flos Architectural, and the new sophisticated outdoor versions of best-selling floor lamps IC Light and Captain Flint by Michael Anastassiades. The space proved to be one of the hottest destinations for architects and lighting designers in town.
A double event was organized on the evening of 5th September, with cocktails starting at the store and continuing until late at the showroom and private courtyard of passage Dauphine, in a magical atmosphere. The events attracted a multitude of design enthusiasts and professionals.
