Shanghai – Flos showroom
For the official opening of its first Flos Shanghai showroom, Flos invited Michael Anastassiades to introduce his fascinating Arrangements modular chandeliers and other novelties such as the sophisticated Overlap pendant lamps, to a selected group of guests including architects, clients, design professionals and press during an exclusive evening party.
Hong Kong – COLOURLIVING
Collaboration between Flos and distinctive lifestyle concept store Colourliving, in the heart of Hong Kong, led to an impressive spectacular site-specific installation of Arrangements in the storefront and throughout the exclusive B&B Italia space, on 31st floor of the China Online Center building. Numerous guests attended Michael Anastassaides’s Talk, followed by a lively opening event.
Melbourne – Euroluce Australia
Flos’s exclusive distributor Euroluce, one of Australia’s most established providers of contemporary architectural and technical lighting, featured a lighting installation of Michael Anastassiades’ latest novelties for Flos in its recently updated Melbourne Light Studio. After an inspiring lecture at the RMIT University, Michael was the special guest of an exciting party attended by key clients and press.
Sydney – Euroluce Australia
Another spectacular lighting installation featuring jewel-like configurations of Arrangements, and a related special event at Euroluce Light Studio in Sydney City, celebrating Euroluce’s forty years of activity and Michael Anastassiades’s prolific collaboration with Flos. The exciting evening was anticipated by an interesting lecture held by Michael at the Museum of Sydney, hosted by Australian Financial Review design editor Stephen Todd and addressed to design professionals and students.
Tokyo – Flos showroom
For the final stop of the Asian-Australian tour, Flos Japan hosted another beautiful installation of Michael’s recent lighting masterpieces in the Tokyo showroom, where a cocktail reception was organized for this special occasion. Michael was invited to hold a presentation at the Japan Institute of Architects, to talk to the local design community about his design philosophy and inspiration. During his stay in Tokyo he finally received a well deserved nomination from Elle Decor Japan as Designer of the Year for the next EDIDA Awards edition.
