Rodolfo Dordoni
Rodolfo Dordoni was born in Milan in 1954.
In 1979, he graduated in architecture from the Politecnico of Milan. Since graduating, he has established himself as a globally recognised figure in contemporary design, working with Italy’s most renowned companies as architect, designer, art director and creative consultant.
In 2005, he founded the Dordoni Architetti Studio alongside Luca Zaniboni and Alessandro Acerbi. The studio concentrates on architecture and interior design for a range of settings, both residential and commercial, which include exhibitions, hotels, private residences, restaurants, shops and showrooms.
Dordoni describes his work as rational, sober and sensual. His approach is pragmatic and he seeks beauty, personality and quality in everything that he does. Having never learned to design on a computer, he relies on pencil and paper to express his ideas.
His numerous awards and recognitions include the 2011 National Award for Innovation (Dordoni Architetti Studio), an Honourable Mention at the XXIII Compasso d'Oro in 2014 and, more recently, the Archiproducts Design Awards 2022.
Dordoni passed away prematurely in Milan in August 2023, leaving an indelible mark in the history of design.
